Where do we sleep? Accommodation
5 minutes from the beaches by car, the 4* hotel & Spa in Lacanau Océan offers great peace and quiet in a privileged environment.
The hotel offers fully renovated and fully equipped rooms. There are 58 rooms, including a junior suite, spread over 4 levels and all have a terrace overlooking the pool or the pine forest. Bathed in light, sober and elegant, they invite you to enjoy the good life. Some rooms are equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility.
To complete your comfort, the rooms are directly connected to the restaurant, bar and spa.
When you stay with us, you will have access to the outdoor heated swimming pool (from May to September from 10 am to 8 pm), to the Sensory World of the spa from 8:30 am to 9:45 am (except Thursdays) and from 3 pm to 7 pm - on Sundays from 8:30 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm. Access for children under 13: from 8.30am to 9.45am (except Thursdays) and from 6pm to 7pm, accompanied by an adult parent. Access to the fitness room from 7 am to 10 pm.
Surf The waves
It's a small, friendly, family surf school that welcomes you to learn to surf. Dimitri, the school's instructor, is a true surfing enthusiast and has lived in Lacanau for 20 years. His affection for the ocean translates into a desire to teach and share his knowledge of his element in which he has been evolving as a surf instructor for 10 years.
Forget surfing lessons where the instructor supervises from the beach, here the supervision is done in the water by a state-qualified instructor.
There is no fixed time for surf lessons, the choice of waves is essential to give lessons according to the tide times, the ocean conditions and the level of each person.
A different learning experience for beginners who stay at the water's edge and for the more adventurous who take to the waves offshore!
You will find equipment adapted to the level of surfing and the size of each student, wetsuits for each season for more safety and pleasure. Separate changing rooms for boys and girls, outdoor showers and toilets are at your disposal.
Whether you are a 12 year old shrimp, a 45 year old lobster or a 98 year old lobster, don't hesitate to come and register, our teaching methods are adapted to each individual.

When to go? The perfect months
The miles of beaches along the French Atlantic coast are in a pleasant location.
The waves are there all year round and many surfing competitions take place there. The coast has an oceanic type of climate, it is nice without being too hot.
